PUBLICATIONS
Caracterización de las Propiedades Mecánicas del Bambú (Bambusa Vulgaris) 2018- Este estudio contribuye con la recopilación de datos y caracterización de la Bambusa Vulgaris de Puerto Rico, que podrán ser usados en investigaciones futuras sobre su aplicabilidad estructural. Se tomaron muestras al azar en dos municipios de Puerto Rico, de la caña de bambú y se prepararon las probetas para los ensayos experimentales a la capacidad de resistencia a la compresión, tracción y flexión. Se tabularon y se graficaron los resultados para determinar las propiedades mecánicas de la caña de bambú. Se compararon los valores obtenidos con los materiales de construcción más comunes y se concluyo que la Bambusa Vulgaris tiene propiedades mecanicas muy atractivas para comenzar a ser considerado material de construccion en Puerto Rico.
